The Spitfire is well known for its excellent maneuverability. It was one of the last fighters built with the piston engine technology hence holds the record for being one of the fastest piston engine aircraft in the world. The Spitfire is powered by the Rolls Royce Griffon engine which is having more capacity and power than the Merlin engines powering other aircrafts. The Spitfire is known for its awesome power, harmonized controls and excellent maneuverability. It has the huge five blade engine rotating in the opposite direction of the Merlin engines providing a good swing to the right due to the torque.
